Site Maintenance Support Specialist

HOURLY RATE: £11.75 per hour

Permanent Position

WORKING HOURS: 28 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Early starts may be necessary.

We are dedicated to collaborating with ASDA to ensure their stores are safe, compliant, and well-maintained, consistently exceeding expectations. We are seeking motivated and enthusiastic individuals for the role of Site Maintenance Support Specialist, responsible for overseeing up to three locations within our Facilities Management Team.

Key Responsibilities:

As a Site Maintenance Support Specialist, you will handle minor general maintenance and operational support tasks, including planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance across multiple stores.

Under the guidance of the Multi-Site Technician, you will receive appropriate training to develop the skills necessary to perform the following tasks (this list is not exhaustive):

  • Execute scheduled weekly and monthly maintenance tasks (such as fire alarm testing and water temperature checks).
  • Conduct the weekly store defrost program.
  • Perform minor repairs to building fabric.
  • Undertake minor decorating duties.
  • Carry out minor plumbing repairs.
  • Complete minor joinery tasks.
  • Address various ad-hoc maintenance requests.
  • Ensure all tasks are completed in accordance with our Health, Safety, and Environmental policies.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • A diverse range of practical skills and experience in a trade, ensuring tasks are completed correctly and within designated timeframes.
  • A positive and proactive attitude, with strong customer service skills, capable of thriving in a fast-paced retail environment.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team, demonstrating self-motivation and effective workload management.
  • Basic IT skills are advantageous (familiarity with tablets, word processing, spreadsheets, and email).
  • A valid UK driver's license is required for roles covering multiple locations.
  • Physical fitness is essential, as the role involves lifting heavy items and using ladders.
