Regional Maintenance Specialist

Salary: £27,980.84 per annum

Location: Leicester and surrounding areas

Shift Pattern: Days

Hours per day: Full-time

This is a permanent position.

Job Overview:

In this essential role, you will be responsible for executing both scheduled and urgent maintenance tasks across various site locations. The primary objective of this position is to perform non-technical repairs and minor planned preventative maintenance (PPM). You will also support the execution of planned and reactive maintenance, including electrical and mechanical plant operations at multiple sites. All tasks must be completed to the highest standards in an efficient and cost-effective manner, ensuring compliance with all Health and Safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Adhere to company policies and procedures at all times.
  • Participate in training sessions as required by the organization.
  • Prioritize and complete minor maintenance and repair tasks within agreed timelines.
  • Fulfill all necessary PPM and reactive maintenance schedules within specified timeframes, ensuring accurate completion of all required documentation.
  • Respond promptly and positively to service requests from the Helpdesk, assessing job requirements and executing repairs as needed.
  • While primarily assigned to a specific area for PPM completion, you may be required to assist at other sites within the division.
  • Collaborate with other technicians and teams on both major and minor maintenance tasks.
  • Monitor and update the Mercury system, including live job updates.
  • Undertake minor plumbing tasks; experience in commercial or domestic plumbing is advantageous.
  • Comply with the company's Health and Safety Policy consistently.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and management.
  • Ensure all costs are pre-approved.

Knowledge, Skills, and Qualifications:

  • Minimum education level: GCSE / Standard Grade.
  • Trade qualifications are a plus.
  • Previous experience in building maintenance is essential.
  • Ability to maintain and repair a variety of equipment.
  • Commitment to quality in repairs and maintenance.
  • Proficient PC skills – both Apple and Android platforms.
  • Adherence to Health and Safety policies.
  • Valid driving license.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
