About the Role
Care Concern Group is seeking a skilled Peripatetic Maintenance Specialist to join our team at CCG Head Office. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the upkeep and maintenance of our care homes across the Glasgow region.
Key Responsibilities
- Project Evaluation: Conduct thorough assessments of maintenance projects to identify scope and requirements.
- Setup and Safety: Ensure a safe working environment by setting up and maintaining scaffolding, work platforms, and other support structures.
- Surface Preparation: Prepare surfaces for maintenance by protecting non-painted areas and removing old finishes.
- Pre-Maintenance Work: Perform necessary repairs and preparations to ensure a smooth maintenance process.
- Maintenance and Repair: Skilfully perform painting, decorating, and other maintenance tasks to ensure a high-quality finish.
- Exterior Coatings: Apply protective coatings and coverings to external walls to maintain the building's integrity.
- Quality Control: Inspect maintenance work to ensure it meets our high standards.
- Cleanup: Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to health and safety protocols.
Requirements
- Qualifications: Hold a valid SVQ in Painting and Decorating or equivalent.
- Experience: Proven track record of successful maintenance work, with experience in care homes or similar environments.
- Skills: Excellent communication skills, ability to work independently, and a strong attention to detail.
