In this position, you will excel in a collaborative and supportive atmosphere while overseeing both scheduled and emergency maintenance across our facility. Your role will encompass addressing equipment failures, conducting diagnostics, and performing root cause analysis to ensure optimal functionality. Additionally, you will be instrumental in assisting the broader facilities team and various departments to sustain the seamless operation of the site. Adhering to Health & Safety regulations and maintaining safe working practices is paramount.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Schedule and execute routine preventive maintenance on relevant equipment
  2. Assess breakdowns and carry out necessary repairs
  3. Manage external contractors on-site for maintenance and repairs
  4. Collaborate with departments to provide effective support and solutions
  5. Ensure clear communication with the Facilities team during shift transitions
  6. Engage in team meetings, contributing to improvements and solutions
  7. Possess hands-on engineering experience in a manufacturing setting
  8. Have a multi-disciplinary maintenance background, preferably with an emphasis on electrical systems, along with mechanical and instrumentation knowledge
  9. Demonstrate familiarity with HVAC, water treatment, and steam systems
  10. Work effectively as part of a team while managing individual workload to meet deadlines
  11. Exhibit strong organizational skills with keen attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
  12. Communicate effectively in both written and verbal forms
  13. Previous experience or knowledge of working in a cGMP environment is highly advantageous
  14. GMP standards necessitate detailed tracking, reporting, and documentation. Therefore, proficiency in written English and clear handwriting is essential.

Skills and Qualifications:

  1. A qualified facility engineer with a minimum of 3 years of industry experience post-qualification
  2. A technical/building services qualification or related apprenticeship

Applicants must possess the right to work in the UK, as sponsorship is not available.

Working Hours: 8-hour shifts including breaks, with a rotational schedule covering early and late shifts, along with paid overtime and shift allowances.
