Job Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Community Facilities Maintenance Specialist to join our team in Glasgow. This part-time, permanent position offers a unique opportunity to work with our team and contribute to the success of our projects.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for undertaking day-to-day maintenance activities, routine service, fault finding, and repair of building services and equipment. Key duties include:

  • Opening and closing school facilities in accordance with required occupancy times.
  • Conducting internal and external checks of building facilities and reporting faults to the Help Desk.
  • Performing non-specialist repairs and ensuring that Preventive Maintenance (PPM) tasks are completed within specified timescales.
  • Ensuring that all visitors sign in and out of the site and controlling access to keys.
  • Verifying that Site Induction has been completed for all contractors and visitors.
  • Reviewing Risk Assessments/Method Statements for work being carried out.
  • Maintaining accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs.
  • Ensuring compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
  • Ensuring the operation of the school facilities is compliant at all times.

Person Specification

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Understanding of safe working practices and health and safety legislation.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Well-organized and capable of prioritizing own workload.
  • Flexible approach to working as part of a team.
  • Previous experience of working in a maintenance environment.
  • Experience of Facilities/Maintenance Technician.
