We are seeking a skilled and experienced Facilities Maintenance Specialist to join our team in Glasgow. The successful candidate will be responsible for undertaking day-to-day maintenance activities, routine service, fault finding, and repair of building services and equipment.

About the Role:

The ideal candidate will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, a strong understanding of safe working practices and health and safety legislation, and the ability to work independently. They will also be well-organised, capable of prioritising their workload, and flexible in their approach to working as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Undertake day-to-day maintenance activities, routine service, fault finding, and repair of building services and equipment.
  • Carry out internal and external checks of building and report faults to the Help Desk.
  • Carry out non-specialist repairs and ensure that PPM tasks are carried out and completed within the timescales.
  • Ensure all visitors sign in and out of site and control of keys.
  • Ensure Site Induction has been carried out for all contractors and visitors.
  • Ensure Risk Assessments/Method Statements are reviewed for work being carried out.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.

Person Specification:

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong understanding of safe working practices and health and safety legislation.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Well-organised and capable of prioritising workload.
  • Flexible approach to working as part of a team.
  • Previous experience of working in a maintenance environment.
  • Experience of Facilities/Maintenance Technician.
