Role: Lead Pharmacist for Substance Misuse Services

Band: 8A: £56,992 - £61,522

Type: Permanent, 37 hours per week (1.0wte)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement evidence-based clinical practices and cost-effective prescribing within the substance misuse service.
  • Review and enhance medicines policies, guidelines, and medication review systems.
  • Provide clinical and professional guidance to the multidisciplinary team at both local and national levels.

Qualifications: The ideal candidate will be a UK registered pharmacist with a relevant postgraduate clinical qualification and substantial experience in pharmaceutical care within either secondary or primary care settings. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential for this role. Additionally, an independent prescribing qualification or a willingness to pursue this qualification is preferred to facilitate direct clinical care delivery.
