About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Palliative Care Clinical Nurse Specialist to join our team at Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board. As a key member of our Specialist Palliative Care Team, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality, accessible palliative care services to patients and their families living with life-limiting diseases.

Key Responsibilities
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of palliative care services, ensuring seamless delivery and coordination with other healthcare teams.
  • Provide specialist support, care, and advice to patients and their families, addressing their physical, emotional, and spiritual needs.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care planning and coordination.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with patients, families, and healthcare professionals to promote effective communication and care.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest palliative care research, best practices, and guidelines to ensure evidence-based care.
Requirements
  • 1st Level Registered General Nurse qualification.
  • Post-registration qualification in a relevant area or equivalent experience.
  • Relevant First Degree or working towards, or equivalent experience.
  • Evidence of continued professional development.
  • Desirable: Non-Medical Independent Prescriber, Teaching qualification, or relevant experience.
Desirable Skills and Experience
  • Significant post-registration experience in palliative care settings.
  • Experience of working effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Teaching skills and experience.
Personal Qualities
  • Ability to work flexibly to meet the demands of the service.
  • Ability to motivate and lead others.
  • Ability to manage opposition and overcome obstacles in a positive and non-threatening manner.
Language Requirements

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
