Community Support Advocate

As a Community Support Advocate specializing in Anti-Social Behaviour (ASB), your role will be to champion the rights of individuals affected by ASB, providing essential support throughout the Criminal Justice and ASB resolution processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Implementing a case management approach to deliver tailored navigation, advice, guidance, and advocacy.
- Conducting timely risk assessments and developing safety and support plans in collaboration with various agencies.
- Facilitating appropriate referrals to enhance victim resilience, recovery, and long-term wellbeing.
- Representing the organization at community partnership meetings to ensure the voices of victims are heard.
About You
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Proven ability to establish and maintain high-quality relationships with service users, colleagues, and multi-agency professionals.
- Experience working with vulnerable populations, including conducting needs assessments and risk evaluations.
- Strong organizational and administrative capabilities.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Conducting needs and risk assessments, and delivering a range of support packages tailored to individual and complex needs.
- Planning, facilitating, documenting, and reviewing the progress of referrals to key support services as part of a customized support plan.
- Monitoring and managing support plans and risks, ensuring that safeguarding concerns are escalated as necessary.
- Providing guidance and information to assist victims in coping and recovering, including administrative support and advice.
- Ensuring service users are well-informed about the services available, including referral pathways and support options.
- Keeping victims updated on key dates, case progress, and outcomes, while facilitating coordinated information sharing among all parties involved.
- Coordinating a multi-agency response to address identified needs and risks, working closely with law enforcement and key support organizations.
Qualifications
- GCSE English and Maths (or equivalent).
- Possession of a full driving license and access to a vehicle.
Additional Information
Salary: Competitive annual salary
Hours: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week
Contract: Fixed term with potential for extension
