Position Overview

As a Youth Support Specialist at Catch22, you will serve as the dedicated support worker for children and young individuals who have experienced Domestic Abuse. Your role will involve establishing and maintaining strong, trusting relationships with young victims, providing them with the necessary support to navigate their challenges.

This position is situated within the Beacon Family Hub, which focuses on addressing Child on Parent violence. You may also be responsible for a limited caseload of children and parents impacted by these issues. Your primary focus will be on assisting children and young people who have witnessed or been victims of domestic abuse, particularly those at risk of adopting harmful behaviors they have observed.

We are looking for a committed and knowledgeable caseworker who understands the unique needs of victims and witnesses, and how our services can effectively meet those needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Exhibit a confident, professional demeanor while maintaining a proactive approach.
  • Guide young victims and witnesses through their recovery journey, adapting to their evolving needs.
  • Establish rapport with clients, creating safe environments for open discussions about their experiences.
  • Act as a trusted representative of Catch22, advocating for clients with various stakeholders, including law enforcement, social services, and educational institutions.
  • Collaborate with team members to enhance collective knowledge and expertise within the service and across Catch22.
