Clinical Lead

We are seeking an exceptional Clinical Lead to join our team at Hertfordshire Community NHS Trust. As a key member of our community nursing team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality healthcare to our patients.
Key Responsibilities- Act as a clinical champion, promoting exemplary clinical practice and providing clinical challenge to ensure the delivery of high-quality healthcare.
- Provide clinical supervision and support to staff, including delegation of defined duties and assessment of clinical competencies.
- Support the development of all staff, particularly relating to the development and maintenance of core competencies.
- Contribute to quality improvement projects and lead on focused areas of work within the locality.
- Embed quality agenda, including patient experience, patient safety, workforce, and clinical effectiveness, driving improvements across clinical practice.
- Current NMC registration.
- Educated to a degree level or equivalent experience.
- Two years post-registration clinical experience.
- Experience of working in a community setting.
- Experience of supervising and developing staff.
- Experience in a teaching/mentoring role.
- Up-to-date clinical practice.
- Experience in delivering training.
- Understanding of current health legislation.
- Knowledge and understanding of provider organizations and NHS organizations.
- Full range of competencies in community nursing, including IV therapy, compression bandaging, catheters, syringe drivers, diabetes care.
- Teaching experience.
- IT skills.
- Ability to utilize a range of communication methods.
- Demonstrate a personal commitment to optimizing a high standard of patient care.
- Good interpersonal skills.
- Advanced verbal and written skills.
- Hold a full, valid driving license and have access to a car to use for business purposes (unless you have a disability as defined by the Equality Act 2010).
