About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Desktop Support Specialist to join our team at Hearst UK. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for providing technical support to our end-users, ensuring that they have the necessary tools and resources to perform their jobs efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide level 2 technical support for desktop and laptop computers, network connectivity, printers, and software applications.
  • Configure, deploy, and track company-issued iPhones for Hearst employees.
  • Manage software and OS updates and patch management for the desktop environment.
  • Administer Active Directory and virus protection environment.
  • Collaborate with the local People Team to manage hardware allocation and retrieval for on-boarders and off-boarders.
  • Perform weekly desk inspections and provide support to the Brighton office as needed.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • Substantial experience in IT, preferably in a large, complex organization.
  • Proven experience in delivering support to a diverse company.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
  • A willingness to travel and work in a team environment.
