Role Overview

Time Out is a prominent media brand dedicated to celebrating urban culture. Our mission is to encapsulate the vibrant and evolving essence of cities, assisting a diverse audience in experiencing the best they have to offer. With a legacy spanning over five decades, we have expanded our reach globally, covering various cities and media platforms, including the establishment of Time Out Markets.

As we continue to grow, our Creative Solutions department plays a pivotal role in crafting and executing all commercial content and partnership initiatives. We are seeking a key contributor to our Creative Solutions team, a position that influences all facets of our operations, from digital platforms to live events.

The Creative Strategist will focus on authentically conveying brand narratives across multiple channels. The primary goal is to enhance revenue through collaborations with West End agencies and direct clients, working alongside our broader commercial team. This dynamic role involves leading brainstorming sessions, presenting large-scale content proposals, and collaborating closely with our editorial team to develop content solutions. It presents a unique opportunity to influence a new and exciting chapter for one of the most respected names in media.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Solutions and Sales teams to generate innovative, multi-platform content ideas, both proactively and in response to specific briefs.
  • Design creative partnership campaigns utilizing Time Out's various assets.
  • Develop presentations and thought leadership materials aligned with Time Out's core values.
  • Work in tandem with team members to identify sponsorship opportunities and create compelling sales materials, emphasizing creativity and innovation.
  • Coordinate with internal departments, including Sales, Project Management, Branded Content, Editorial, e-Commerce, and Markets, to ensure cohesive and authentic solutions.
  • Oversee deliverables for booked campaigns, collaborating with the team to meet stringent deadlines.
  • Support pitches for fellow Creative Strategists as needed.
  • Participate in Time Out brand events to support live commercial initiatives.
  • Foster strong interdepartmental relationships throughout Time Out.
  • Share market and client insights internally to aid in the development of future business strategies.

Required Skills

  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in content partnerships within a media organization or agency.
  • A collaborative mindset and strong team player.
  • Proficient in constructing, pitching, and closing complex cross-platform campaigns.
  • Excellent presentation abilities.
  • Comfortable brainstorming and sharing innovative ideas.
  • Adept at crafting narratives using audience insights and research for pitching purposes.
  • Proficient in Excel and Google Slides.
  • Ability to manage teams and projects effectively.
  • Skilled in establishing and maintaining influential relationships, particularly within media agencies.
  • Confident in engaging with individuals at all organizational levels.
  • Strong understanding of client business needs.
  • Meticulous attention to detail with a solid grasp of costs and profit margins.
  • Able to pitch discussions at appropriate levels.
  • Enthusiastic with a positive outlook.
  • Strong numerical skills and ability to work with data.

Knowledge Requirements

  • Experience working with partnership and planning teams in West End agencies.
  • Knowledge and enthusiasm for culture and entertainment.
  • Demonstrated consumer understanding and insights.
  • Good understanding of digital, video, and social media platforms.
