About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Clinical Administration Specialist to join our Spinal Surgery team at Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide an efficient and effective clinical administration service to the department, Consultants, and wider clinical team.
  • Act as a designated point of contact for Consultants and clinic teams, working closely with other Patient Pathway Administrators to ensure seamless communication.
  • Manage the whole patient pathway in line with the Elective Access policy, ensuring compliance with week referral to treatment (RTT) targets.
  • Support patients under the Clinicians' care by administering relevant diagnostic investigations and expediting appointments/surgery in line with the week diagnostic pathway and week RTT pathway.
  • Have an overview of all workflows in the admin team and be responsible for providing an excellent cohesive service to both patients and colleagues.
  • Work closely with each member of the admin team to understand their role and support them, covering in times of leave and sick to ensure service continuity.
