As a Strategic Partner Solutions Architect focused on Global Systems Integrators and Independent Software Vendors within Amazon Web Services (AWS), you will play a pivotal role in driving customer success and establishing AWS as the premier cloud computing platform. In this capacity, you will lead the technical engagement with key partners, utilizing your extensive expertise in software architecture and cloud technologies, while also demonstrating exceptional interpersonal skills across various levels of partner and customer organizations. Your ability to think strategically about business, product, and technical challenges will be essential.

Key Responsibilities:

As a vital member of the AWS Solutions Architect team, you will serve as a trusted advisor to our managed systems integrators. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Acting as a strategic technical leader in the field, providing architectural guidance and recommendations to enhance partner engagements globally.
  • Ensuring the success of customers and partners in designing, building, and migrating applications, software, and services on the AWS platform.
  • Leading in-depth architectural discussions and design sessions to create exceptional solutions built on AWS, ensuring they are optimized for successful cloud deployment.
  • Promoting AWS; educating customers and partners of all sizes on the advantages of AWS offerings.
  • Contributing to AWS customer-facing publications, including white papers, blogs, and proof of concepts.
  • Collaborating with the sales and partner teams to develop and implement a sales strategy aimed at exceeding revenue targets through the adoption of AWS and its partner solutions.
  • Building strong relationships with senior technical personnel within customer and partner organizations to empower them as advocates for cloud solutions.
  • Capturing and disseminating best practices within the AWS solutions architect community.

The AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS) team is dedicated to driving revenue, adoption, and growth across a diverse range of accounts, from small and mid-market to enterprise-level customers, including the public sector. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- Proven hands-on implementation or consulting experience with a strong understanding of the software development lifecycle.
- Experience in customer-facing roles with a track record of effective collaboration across various internal organizations and interactions with partners and customers.
- Experience engaging with end-user or developer communities.
- 5+ years of experience in infrastructure and network architecture, DevOps, or software engineering.
- 3+ years of design, implementation, or consulting experience with enterprise systems.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Experience in migrating or transforming legacy customer solutions to the cloud or architecting/operating solutions built on AWS.
- Familiarity with common enterprise services (e.g., Directory Services, Information Assurance, Virtual Desktop) and products (e.g., Oracle, SAP), along with a working knowledge of software development tools and methodologies.
- Strong presentation skills with comfort in engaging with both external and internal executives, IT management, and developers.
- Experience in positioning professional services to prospective customers.
- Demonstrated ability to adapt to new technologies and learn quickly, such as obtaining AWS Certification, e.g., AWS Solutions Architect Associate.
