Key Responsibilities: As a vital member of the AWS Solutions Architect team, you will serve as a trusted advisor to our managed systems integrators. This includes:

  1. Acting as a strategic technical authority in the field to provide architectural insights and recommendations essential for promoting and accelerating partner engagements globally.
  2. Ensuring success for customers and partners in designing, developing, and migrating applications, software, and services on the AWS platform.
  3. Leading in-depth architectural discussions and design sessions to create exceptional solutions built on AWS while ensuring these solutions are optimized for successful cloud deployment.
  4. Being an advocate for AWS; educating customers and partners of all sizes on the advantages of AWS.
  5. Contributing to AWS customer-facing materials such as white papers, blogs, and proof of concepts.
  6. Collaborating with the sales and partner teams to devise and implement a sales strategy aimed at surpassing revenue goals through the adoption of AWS and its partner solutions.
  7. Cultivating strong relationships with senior technical personnel within customer and partner organizations to empower them as cloud champions.
  8. Capturing and disseminating best-practice knowledge within the AWS solutions architect community.

The AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS) team is tasked with driving revenue, adoption, and growth from a diverse range of accounts, from small and mid-market to enterprise-level customers, including those in the public sector. The AWS Global Support team collaborates with leading organizations and believes that exceptional support is vital to customer success. AWS Support also partners with a global clientele that is developing mission-critical applications utilizing AWS services.

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. Proven hands-on implementation or consulting experience with a strong understanding of the software development lifecycle.
  2. Experience in customer-facing roles with a successful track record of collaboration across multiple internal teams and interactions with partners and customers.
  3. Experience engaging with end users or developer communities.
  4. 5+ years of experience in infrastructure and network architecture, DevOps, or software engineering.
  5. 3+ years of design, implementation, or consulting experience with enterprise systems.
  6. Experience in migrating or transforming legacy customer solutions to the cloud or architecting/operating solutions built on AWS.
  7. Familiarity with common enterprise services (e.g., Directory Services, Information Assurance, Virtual Desktop) and products (e.g., Oracle, SAP), along with a working knowledge of software development tools and methodologies.
  8. Strong presentation skills with a high degree of comfort speaking with both external and internal executives, IT management, and developers.
  9. Experience in positioning professional services to prospective customers.
  10. Demonstrated ability to adapt to new technologies and learn quickly, such as obtaining AWS Certification, e.g., AWS Solutions Architect Associate.
