Role Overview:

We are looking for a skilled and proactive HR Advisor to support our HR Department on a temporary basis. This role requires a strong background in human resources to provide exceptional Employee Relations services within our retail and food services division.

As an HR Advisor, you will independently manage a range of intricate cases, leveraging HR data to inform decision-making processes. Your expertise will ensure that your guidance and recommendations are precise, well-informed, and consistent with our established policies.

Your responsibilities will include delivering top-notch customer service and offering expert support to management on various employee relations matters. These may encompass investigations, disciplinary actions, absence management, grievances, redundancies, appeals, performance assessments, and immigration compliance.

This role is office-based, and we seek a knowledgeable and adaptable individual who can demonstrate critical thinking and problem-solving skills to address Employee Relations challenges effectively. Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert advice and guidance to managers on employee relations issues, including disciplinary actions, performance management, and grievances.
  • Collaborate with HR team members to ensure high-quality service delivery.
  • Efficiently resolve complex employee relations inquiries.
  • Proactively minimize employee relations casework and manage outstanding tasks.
  • Ensure compliance with employment law, best practices, and company policies.
  • Facilitate review and appraisal processes for complex Employee Relations cases.
  • Ensure adherence to Home Office Right to Work regulations.
  • Participate in HR projects and perform administrative duties as needed.
  • Engage with internal and external stakeholders to support business objectives.
  • Aim to meet HR service level agreements and targets.
  • Maintain effective communication and collaboration with key departments.
  • Ensure compliance with all personnel documentation and regulatory processes.

Candidate Profile:

  • Level 5/3 CIPD qualification is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Experience in managing employee relations cases and complex situations.
  • Ability to independently assess and address cases effectively.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Highly organized with strong multitasking skills.
  • Adaptable to evolving business needs.
  • Practical problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Thorough understanding of employment law and best practices.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Commercial awareness.
