Position: Integrated Therapy Assistant

Employment Type: Full-time, 40 hours per week across 40 weeks annually

Compensation: £22,000 per year

The Cambian Group, recognized as the leading provider of specialized services in education, mental health rehabilitation, and learning disabilities in the UK, is seeking a compassionate and dedicated individual to fill the role of Integrated Therapy Assistant at Pottersbury Lodge School.

Cambian Potterspury Lodge School is an independent educational institution that caters to students with Autism and related challenges, providing a tailored, engaging, and stimulating curriculum for pupils aged 8-18. Our staff are highly skilled and trained to support young individuals facing communication challenges, sensory needs, and various learning difficulties, including dyslexia, dyspraxia, as well as other diagnosed conditions such as depression, anxiety, ADHD, and Tourette's syndrome.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate enthusiastically as a member of the Occupational Therapy (OT) and Speech and Language Therapy (SaLT) teams.
  • Engage directly with individuals or groups to implement therapy programs under the guidance of senior OT or SaLT professionals in both educational and residential environments.
  • Assist in assessing communication needs and functional skills, and document progress accordingly.
  • Contribute to the development of resources for individuals and enhance the Communication and Sensory Environment.
  • Participate in training opportunities and receive ongoing supervision.

Candidate Qualifications:

  • A genuine interest in fostering the communication and functional skills of young people.
  • Previous experience working with young individuals with special needs.
  • Basic IT proficiency and the ability to work collaboratively within a dynamic team.

Experience with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and/or Learning Disabilities (LD) and/or experience in Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) is advantageous.
