About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Physical Healthcare Assistant to join our team at St Andrew's Healthcare. As a key member of our clinical team, you will play a vital role in supporting our Advanced Clinical Practitioner team in the delivery of physical healthcare services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality patient care and support to individuals with complex physical healthcare needs.
  • Assist senior clinicians in the delivery of physical healthcare services, including ECG acquisition, venepuncture, and immunisations.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with patients, families, and colleagues to ensure seamless care delivery.
  • Contribute to a culture of safety and therapeutic engagement, promoting a person-centred approach to care.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance clinical skills and knowledge.
Requirements
  • Previous experience in a healthcare setting, preferably with skills in ECG acquisition, venepuncture, and immunisations.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Basic knowledge of IT systems and ability to work semi-autonomously.
  • Self-motivated and able to demonstrate a flexible, individualised approach to patient care.
  • Knowledge and experience of working with challenging patient groups, with a focus on safety and therapeutic engagement.
