The Cambian Group, recognized as the UK's leading provider of specialized services in education, mental health rehabilitation, and learning disabilities, is seeking a compassionate and dedicated individual to fulfill the role of Integrated Therapy Assistant at Pottersbury Lodge School.
Cambian Potterspury Lodge School is an independent educational institution that caters to students with Autism and related challenges, providing a tailored, engaging, and rigorous curriculum for pupils aged 8-18. Our staff are highly skilled and trained to support young individuals facing communication difficulties, sensory needs, and various learning challenges, including dyslexia, dyspraxia, and other diagnosed conditions such as anxiety, depression, ADHD, and Tourette's syndrome.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Occupational Therapy (OT) and Speech and Language Therapy (SaLT) teams at Pottersbury Lodge School.
- Engage directly with individuals or groups to implement therapy programs under the guidance of senior OT or SaLT professionals in both educational and residential environments.
- Assist in assessing communication needs and functional skills, while documenting progress.
- Contribute to the creation of resources for individuals and enhance the Communication and Sensory Environment.
- Participate in training and receive ongoing supervision.
Candidate Requirements:
- Genuine interest in fostering young people's communication and functional skills.
- Experience working with young individuals with special needs.
- Basic IT proficiency and the ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic team setting.
Experience with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and/or Learning Disabilities (LD) and/or experience in Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) is advantageous.
