Key Responsibilities:

As the Business Intelligence Partner, you will report directly to the Deputy Head of Business Intelligence. Your primary responsibilities will include:

- Leading and managing the analytical team within the Medicine & Urgent Care Division, ensuring adherence to the highest technical and professional standards.

- Overseeing daily operations and promoting excellence in BI functions within a complex and evolving landscape.

- Enhancing team dynamics through outstanding communication skills, fostering a culture of support and achievement.

- Developing comprehensive plans to facilitate project planning and monitor the execution of significant initiatives across the organization.

- Ensuring that income and activity reporting is integrated into project performance assessments as necessary.

- Preparing and delivering high-quality verbal and written reports to clinical and divisional meetings, providing actionable insights based on data analysis. You must be able to convey complex data concepts to non-technical staff, addressing inquiries and offering guidance to support informed decision-making.

Qualifications and Experience:

Essential Qualifications:

  • A degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field.
  • Extensive experience in NHS Information Management roles.

Essential Experience:

  • Strong negotiation and influencing skills, with the ability to drive change collaboratively.
  • A solid understanding of data quality principles.
  • Proven educational achievements, including numeracy and literacy qualifications.
  • Familiarity with NHS performance metrics.
  • Experience in managing stakeholder relationships and expectations.

Knowledge and Skills:

Essential Skills:

  • Proficient in SQL and Excel capabilities.
  • Strong leadership skills to guide and prioritize the team's efforts.
  • Ability to make informed decisions and propose actionable recommendations.
  • Excellent analytical skills, with the capacity to prepare and present high-quality reports to senior management.
  • Understanding of Payment by Results (PbR) and its implications for contracting and performance.
