Room Service Operations Assistant Manager

We are excited to announce an opportunity for a Room Service Operations Assistant Manager to become part of our esteemed team at Belmond. In this pivotal role, you will contribute significantly to delivering outstanding room service experiences for our valued guests.

Belmond represents a distinguished portfolio of hotels, trains, river cruises, and safari lodges, providing extraordinary travel experiences in stunning locations worldwide. As a key member of our team, you will report directly to the Room Service Manager and assist in managing the daily functions of the room service division.

Your key responsibilities will encompass overseeing and mentoring the room service staff, ensuring timely and satisfactory fulfillment of all guest orders, and collaborating closely with the culinary team to uphold menu accuracy, quality, and presentation standards.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of 2 years' experience in a supervisory capacity within room service or a related sector
  • Proven leadership abilities with a talent for motivating and guiding team members
  • Exceptional communication and customer service capabilities
  • Experience in inventory management and equipment upkeep
  • Capacity to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure atmosphere
  • Strong problem-solving skills and adeptness in managing guest concerns professionally
  • Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
