Position Overview:
As a Guest Services Coordinator at Bardo St James, you will serve as the initial point of contact for our valued patrons.

Your main duty is to cultivate a warm and inviting environment, assist with bookings, and guarantee a seamless flow of guest services.

You will be instrumental in crafting an unforgettable dining experience.

Desired Qualifications:

Prior experience in a customer service or reception capacity is preferred.
Outstanding communication skills and a friendly, approachable demeanor.
Strong organizational and multitasking capabilities.
Familiarity with reservation software or systems.
Knowledge of the restaurant's offerings, including menus and special events.
Ability to maintain composure under pressure and manage challenging situations gracefully.

Key Responsibilities:

Welcoming Guests:
Greet and welcome guests with a friendly and professional attitude, ensuring they feel appreciated and at ease.

Managing Reservations:
Handle guest reservations received via phone, email, or in-person, and maintain an accurate reservation system.

Seating Arrangements:
Coordinate with restaurant staff to ensure efficient seating, taking into account table availability and guest preferences.

Responding to Inquiries:
Provide detailed information about the restaurant, menus, special events, and address any guest questions knowledgeably.

Telephone Communication:
Answer phone calls, take messages, and assist callers with inquiries regarding reservations and general restaurant information.

Managing Waiting Areas:
Oversee the waiting area, ensuring guests are comfortable and informed about any wait times if necessary.

Reservation Confirmations:
Reach out to guests to confirm reservations and offer assistance with dietary preferences or special requests.

Collaboration with Staff:
Communicate effectively with the restaurant manager, waitstaff, and kitchen team to coordinate reservations and deliver an efficient dining experience.

Organizational Duties:
Maintain a tidy and organized reception area, ensuring brochures, menus, and promotional materials are current.

Conflict Management:
Address guest concerns or issues professionally and promptly, striving to resolve them to the guest's satisfaction.

Handling Payments:
Process payments for private dining events, deposits, and gift certificate sales, ensuring a secure cash handling process.

Maintaining Guest Records:
Keep guest records confidential, including contact details, special occasions, and preferences to enhance their future visits.

Emergency Preparedness:
Familiarize yourself with emergency procedures and be ready to assist in case of an emergency.
