The NHS in Lancashire and South Cumbria is embarking on a significant project to develop new hospital infrastructure, which represents a substantial investment in the future of healthcare services.

Your organizational expertise and experience will be essential in supporting the Project Management Office (PMO) Team as we navigate through this ambitious program.

The team currently operates remotely, with occasional travel required for site visits across the region.

Key Responsibilities

As a vital member of the PMO Team, your role will encompass a range of administrative and project support functions, including:

  • Providing comprehensive administrative assistance to the PMO Team.
  • Efficiently managing the schedules of the PMO Team members.
  • Coordinating and organizing meetings on behalf of the PMO Team.
  • Assisting with project-related administrative tasks.
  • Serving as the minute-taker for meetings, which may involve complex discussions and action items.
  • Maintaining an organized and effective electronic filing system for the PMO Team.
  • Ensuring the secure management and archiving of confidential and sensitive information.
  • Demonstrating proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access.

Qualifications

Essential

  • General education equivalent to GCSE level.
  • Significant experience in office administration.
  • Intermediate proficiency in IT systems and software applications.
  • Proven ability to manage diaries and arrange meetings effectively.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to liaise confidently with colleagues at all levels.
  • Experience working collaboratively within a team and independently.
  • Familiarity with interactions involving healthcare professionals and senior management.

Desirable

  • Previous experience supporting senior management or directors.
  • Knowledge of financial systems relevant to budget management.
  • Experience in taking minutes during meetings.

About Us

This role is hosted by Lancashire Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, which collaborates with various partners across the local health and care system. The New Hospitals Programme is a joint effort involving multiple NHS organizations and local authorities to develop proposals for new healthcare facilities in the region.
