Lincolnshire Partnership NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Occupational Therapist to join our dynamic Child and Adolescent Mental Health (CAMHS) team.

In this role, you will play a vital part in providing high-quality care and support to young people experiencing mental health challenges and their families. Your expertise will contribute to improving the well-being and resilience of children and adolescents within our community.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct comprehensive occupational therapy assessments to identify individual needs and develop tailored treatment plans.
  • Implement evidence-based interventions to enhance functional skills, promote independence, and improve overall quality of life for young people.
  • Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, and nurses, to ensure holistic and coordinated care.
  • Adhere to relevant childcare and health legislation and professional standards.
  • Actively involve young people and families/carers in service development and evaluation, ensuring their voices are heard and valued.
  • Participate in a program of health promotion, raising awareness about mental health and well-being within the community.
  • Work effectively as part of the multidisciplinary LSU (Local System Unit) service, contributing to seamless care pathways for young people.
  • Build strong partnerships with wider CAMHS, Children's Services, and Youth Offending Service to provide comprehensive support networks.
  • Deliver a professional, non-stigmatising service to children and families/carers up to 18 years of age.
  • Foster collaborative relationships within the multidisciplinary team, ensuring effective clinical decision-making both internally and with external agencies.
  • Empower service users and their families/carers to influence and utilize available services, information, and skills, acting as an advocate when necessary.
  • Contribute to the planning and delivery of group interventions, providing valuable support and guidance to young people.
  • Strictly adhere to Trust Policies regarding Children in Need and safeguarding issues, maintaining accurate and effective written records.
