Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sales Executive to join our friendly Sales Team. As a Sales Executive, you will play a key role in driving revenue growth and delivering exceptional customer experiences for our clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Business Development: Proactively represent Newbury Racecourse's racing business to potential and existing clients, identifying new business opportunities and growing existing relationships.
  • Account Management: Manage existing accounts, ensuring timely and accurate communication, and delivering exceptional customer service.
  • Lead Generation: Proactively generate new leads to build and enhance our existing customer portfolio.
  • Proposal Development: Prepare detailed and accurate proposals to meet client needs and exceed expectations.
  • Contract Management: Produce contract documents and invoices in a timely manner, ensuring seamless transaction processing.
  • Customer Experience: On racedays, meet and greet, troubleshoot, and liaise with customers to deliver an exceptional customer experience.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the catering team to ensure customers' expectations are exceeded and deliver high-quality box and dining products.
  • Administrative Tasks: Organize sales visits, update the booking system in real-time, and perform other administrative tasks as required.

Requirements

  • Experience: Previous experience in a sales environment, preferably with a mix of new business and proactive account management.
  • Industry Knowledge: Prior experience within the hospitality or sports industries would be advantageous.
  • Skills: Exceptional communication and negotiation skills, combined with a flair for customer interaction, motivation, and enthusiasm for the position and the Racecourse.
  • Organizational Skills: Excellent organizational and administrative skills, with a positive and proactive attitude.
