Financial Operations Manager - Oldham

As a result of our ongoing expansion, we are seeking a skilled Financial Operations Manager to become a vital part of our finance department on a full-time basis.

This position entails managing the daily financial operations of our Enforcement divisions within the organization. Key responsibilities encompass collaborating with operational teams to ensure effective delivery, managing essential financial tasks such as monthly reporting and forecasting for operational Profit & Loss. Additionally, this role will involve reviewing transactional finance activities within our Scottish finance function and addressing regular, reactive ad-hoc tasks as directed by the Finance Business Partner and Head of Finance, while also participating in Group initiatives and upholding the control environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide assistance to Operational P&L managers.
  • Facilitate operational delivery and planning in collaboration with key stakeholders.
  • Enhance financial awareness and acumen among operational colleagues and other stakeholders.
  • Support a thorough review process of financial and commercial data across the organization.
  • Contribute to risk assessment processes and promote a risk management culture throughout the company.
  • Assist in the development of Business Intelligence tools to deliver insights that ensure control, profitable growth, and informed decision-making.
  • Participate in formulating the Group's long-term financial strategies.
  • Collaborate closely with the Finance Business Partner to provide information that supports the ongoing management of the sector's financial health, including income, expenditure, and long-term planning.
  • Assist in consolidating budgets and short-term forecasts to align with business needs.
  • Review transactional finance data, such as client remittances and ledger entries, for accuracy prior to processing.
  • Help maintain a rolling risks and operations log.
  • Ensure timely reporting and accuracy of all journals and final General Ledger balances.
  • Prepare precise monthly management accounts and reports for operational management.
  • Support internal stakeholders, particularly within Finance, to deliver timely, insightful, and accurate monthly management information.

The ideal candidate will hold a part-qualified or fully qualified status in ACCA/CIMA/ACA. You should possess experience in financial reporting and forecasting within a multi-site organization, along with a solid understanding of financial systems and leveraging technology to meet reporting standards and timelines.
