Financial Management Specialist - Oldham
We are seeking a skilled Financial Management Specialist to become a vital part of our finance team. This full-time position is a result of our ongoing internal expansion.
The role encompasses the supervision of daily financial operations within our Enforcement divisions. Key responsibilities include collaborating with operational delivery teams, managing essential financial tasks such as monthly reporting and forecasting for operational Profit & Loss. Additionally, the position will involve reviewing transactional finance activities in Scotland and addressing various ad-hoc requests from the Finance Business Partner and Head of Finance as needed, while ensuring a robust control environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist Operational P&L managers with financial insights
- Collaborate with operational teams and stakeholders to enhance financial planning
- Foster financial awareness among operational colleagues and stakeholders
- Ensure thorough review processes for financial and commercial data across the Group
- Support risk assessment initiatives and promote a risk management culture within the organization
- Contribute to the development of Business Intelligence tools for better decision-making and control
- Help formulate the Group's long-term financial strategies
- Work alongside the Finance Business Partner to manage the sector's financial health, including income, expenses, and strategic planning
- Assist in consolidating budgets and short-term forecasts to align with business objectives
- Review financial transaction data for accuracy prior to processing
- Maintain a rolling log of risks and operational issues
- Ensure timely reporting and accuracy of all financial records
- Prepare comprehensive monthly management accounts and reports for operational oversight
- Support internal stakeholders, particularly within Finance, to deliver accurate monthly management information within set timelines
The ideal candidate will possess a part-qualified or fully qualified status in ACCA/CIMA/ACA. Experience in financial reporting and forecasting within a multi-site organization is essential, along with a solid understanding of financial systems and technology to meet reporting standards.
