The organisation has undergone significant growth, with revenue exceeding £350m and a workforce of approximately 5000 staff. Following private equity investment, the company is poised to expand its technology-led business models both domestically and internationally.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the technical reporting team to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
- Develop and implement training programs for technical reports to enhance their skills and knowledge.
- Conduct annual reviews of direct reports to assess their performance and provide constructive feedback.
- Prepare consolidated statutory accounts and review subsidiary accounts to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Develop technical accounting papers to support financial reporting and decision-making.
- Oversee the consolidation of entities in Dynamics 365 to ensure seamless financial integration.
- Assist with the annual audit process to ensure a smooth and efficient experience.
- Take ownership of the corporation tax process, including IXBRL tagging, to ensure accurate and compliant tax reporting.
- Manage transfer pricing to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Review quarterly VAT returns to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Research new and proposed accounting standards to determine their impact on the organisation.
- Manage acquisition accounting to ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Review FCA reporting to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Reconcile EBITDA to ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Assist with corporate simplification initiatives to improve financial efficiency.
- Provide ad-hoc tax queries to support the organisation's financial needs.
Requirements:
- Professional finance qualification, such as ACCA or CIMA.
- Experience in a practice background, although not essential.
- Prior experience with statutory accounts and corporation tax requirements.
- Experience in consolidating multiple entities and managing financial reporting teams.
- Professional interim experience, with a focus on financial reporting and compliance.
