The company, represented by Axon Moore, is a leading player in the industry, with a strong presence in the Greater Manchester area.

The organisation has undergone significant growth, with revenue exceeding £350m and a workforce of approximately 5000 staff. Following private equity investment, the company is poised to expand its technology-led business models both domestically and internationally.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the technical reporting team to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
  • Develop and implement training programs for technical reports to enhance their skills and knowledge.
  • Conduct annual reviews of direct reports to assess their performance and provide constructive feedback.
  • Prepare consolidated statutory accounts and review subsidiary accounts to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Develop technical accounting papers to support financial reporting and decision-making.
  • Oversee the consolidation of entities in Dynamics 365 to ensure seamless financial integration.
  • Assist with the annual audit process to ensure a smooth and efficient experience.
  • Take ownership of the corporation tax process, including IXBRL tagging, to ensure accurate and compliant tax reporting.
  • Manage transfer pricing to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Review quarterly VAT returns to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Research new and proposed accounting standards to determine their impact on the organisation.
  • Manage acquisition accounting to ensure accurate financial reporting.
  • Review FCA reporting to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Reconcile EBITDA to ensure accurate financial reporting.
  • Assist with corporate simplification initiatives to improve financial efficiency.
  • Provide ad-hoc tax queries to support the organisation's financial needs.

Requirements:

  • Professional finance qualification, such as ACCA or CIMA.
  • Experience in a practice background, although not essential.
  • Prior experience with statutory accounts and corporation tax requirements.
  • Experience in consolidating multiple entities and managing financial reporting teams.
  • Professional interim experience, with a focus on financial reporting and compliance.
