Job Overview

We are seeking a Senior Strategic Account Manager to join our CMG team in London. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for driving growth for a portfolio of strategic clients, working closely with Client Relationship Partners (CRPs) and Client Support Teams.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Client Engagement: Proactively build relationships with strategic contacts at our strategic clients, supporting CRPs as primary Ashurst relationship contacts. Act as an internal advocate/voice of the client in decision-making amongst CRPs and Client Support Teams.
  2. Performance Excellence: Monitor, drive, and enhance client performance excellence by understanding and reviewing firm reporting and performance metrics. Collaborate with CRPs to drive behavior and process change to achieve or exceed performance benchmarks.
  3. Strategic Planning: Facilitate and manage multi-dimensional account planning processes, driving the annual relationship review and recalibration around the strategic focus of each strategic client. Proactively identify client needs and opportunities, developing and implementing strategies to convert key opportunities.
  4. Market and Industry Insights: Maintain a robust understanding of market and industry insights across client portfolios, collaborating with Industry teams and Ashurst Advance Divisions to ensure proactive engagement around challenges or opportunities facing similar organizations.
  5. Leadership and Resource Management: Demonstrate leadership capabilities across the Client Service Team, advocating for best practice and leading the way as a change-maker for strategic client portfolios.
Essential Skills and Experience
  • Demonstrated experience in managing multiple clients with proven results in developing strong client relationships and driving opportunities that directly contribute to revenue.
  • Strategic client account management or similar relevant experience, gained within law or another professional services environment.
  • Previous experience in a client-facing capacity, including client listening experience.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to influence credibly and effectively at all levels of the organization.
