This role presents an exciting chance to influence the trajectory of our future offerings. You will work collaboratively across various departments, including Engineering, Attributes, Finance, Manufacturing, and Commercial teams, to achieve an optimal alignment between customer expectations, brand essence, and corporate goals. Your contributions will be crucial in defining innovative and attractive products that distinguish us in the marketplace and deliver enduring value to our clientele.
Key Responsibilities
Product Definition:
- Facilitate initial program gateways and essential cross-functional meetings.
- Identify and select program components to fulfill customer, financial, attribute, and technical specifications.
- Lead alignment initiatives across functions, coordinating efforts among Engineering, Attributes, Quality, Finance, Marketing, and Manufacturing teams.
- Develop comprehensive product definitions from inception.
- Articulate and position product attributes based on explicit customer requirements.
- Organize, prepare, and engage in product assessment events.
- Collaborate with the Head of Consumer Research to define target customer profiles.
Portfolio Planning:
- Generate new vehicle concepts and program justifications.
- Advise on lifecycle strategies and assist in managing the product portfolio roadmap.
- Support additional initiatives, including Cycle Plan development, exploration of new opportunities and technologies, and formulation of cross-carline implementation strategies.
Insights & Data Analysis:
- Track market trends and emerging technologies with your team.
- Assess market research insights in collaboration with the Market Intelligence Senior Manager.
- Analyze data derived from market trends to propose product modifications.
Growth:
- The selected candidate will have the opportunity to expand their team over time, beginning with the recruitment of analysts within the Product Portfolio team.
- This role will be instrumental in defining upstream processes and establishing a foundation for success in this domain.
Candidate Profile

As a proactive self-starter, you will demonstrate meticulous attention to detail and effectively prioritize your workload to meet objectives. Strong interpersonal abilities to cultivate beneficial business relationships are essential.
- A profound interest in and extensive knowledge of the automotive sector (brands, products, customer needs), coupled with an understanding of market dynamics and positioning, with a customer-centric approach.
- Robust analytical and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to navigate challenges and resistance.
- A qualification (degree or higher) ideally in a STEM discipline.
- Prior experience in Product Strategy within the automotive industry.
- Comfortable operating in a developing organization and influencing key stakeholders who are not direct reports; you should embrace change and be dedicated to transforming and advancing our business.
- High-level technical comprehension of electrified vehicles.
- Experience in leading a small team.
