Job Purpose

National Grid is seeking a seasoned professional to lead its Portfolio and Regulatory Management function as the Head of Portfolio Management. This key role will drive transparency, accountability, and integrated end-to-end investment and portfolio management, ensuring tight alignment and tracking of regulatory commitments.

Key Aspects
  • Develop and implement comprehensive investment plans and regulatory recovery strategies to drive IT and business portfolio advancement.
  • Collaborate with IT and business leadership to define North stars, transformational programs, and foundational capabilities that align with the company's vision.
  • Establish metrics to measure performance and track benefits delivery across multi-year roadmaps.
  • Manage regulatory teams and partner with CIDO teams to create multi-year strategic business plans.
Key Accountabilities

This role requires strong leadership, collaboration, and communication skills to influence and manage senior stakeholders, drive cultural and behavioral change, and develop productive relationships with customers and regulators.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Technology, or related field.
  • MBA or Master's degree in Technology Management with emphasis on technology investment plans and regulatory recovery strategy.
  • 5+ years of experience in application development, including cutting-edge digital transformation solutions for large enterprises.
  • 10+ years of experience in services organization, with governance, portfolio planning and management, process oversight, and reporting/analytics responsibilities.
  • Minimum of 10 years of work experience in a regulated environment, with a minimum of 5 years of direct government or regulatory experience.
