Head of Portfolio Management

National Grid is seeking a seasoned professional to lead its Portfolio and Regulatory Management function. As the Head of Portfolio Management, you will be responsible for driving transparency, accountability, and integrated end-to-end investment and portfolio management, ensuring tight alignment and tracking of regulatory commitments.
Key Aspects- Develop and implement comprehensive investment plans and regulatory recovery strategies to drive IT and business portfolio advancement.
- Collaborate with IT and business leadership to define North stars that drive portfolio investment plans, including transformational programs.
- Partner with regulatory teams to create multi-year strategic business plans, ensuring alignment with regulatory commitments.
- Monitor and oversee holistic executive-level portfolio and program tracking and reporting.
This role requires strong leadership, relationship-building, and communication skills to influence and manage senior stakeholders. You will be responsible for:
- Developing and maintaining productive relationships with customers and regulators.
- Managing reporting to regulators and influencing them on matters of common interest.
- Ensuring legislative and regulatory changes are understood, communicated, and implemented in accordance with license requirements.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Technology, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in application development, including cutting-edge digital transformation solutions for large enterprises.
- 10+ years of experience in services organization, with governance, portfolio planning and management, process oversight, and reporting/analytics responsibilities.
- Minimum of 10 years of work experience in a regulated environment, with a minimum of 5 years of direct government or regulatory experience.
