Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, United Kingdom Cancer Research UK Cambridge Institute Full time
Project Overview

Cancer Research UK Cambridge Institute is seeking a highly motivated PhD researcher to join our team and contribute to the investigation of immune hedgehog signaling dynamics in health and disease.

Research Objectives

The successful candidate will work on a project aimed at shedding light on the elusive mechanisms of hedgehog signaling in immune cells. Using cutting-edge techniques such as chromobody technology, bespoke mouse models, and proximity labeling, the student will gain fundamental mechanistic insights that may inform novel therapeutic entry points into cancer, infection, and autoimmunity.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct research on immune hedgehog signaling dynamics using advanced techniques
  • Work with murine and human immune cells to gain a deeper understanding of the underlying mechanisms
  • Contribute to the development of novel therapeutic strategies
Requirements

We welcome applications from recent graduates or final-year undergraduates who hold or expect to gain a First/Upper Second Class degree in a relevant subject. Applicants with relevant research experience are strongly encouraged to apply.

Funding and Benefits

This four-year studentship is fully funded by Cancer Research UK Cambridge Institute, including full funding for University fees and a stipend of £21,000 per annum for four years.

How to Apply

Please apply via the University Applicant Portal. For further information about the course and to access the Applicant Portal, visit [insert link].
