Job Title: School Head Chef

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced School Head Chef to join our team at Chartwells - Schools. As a School Head Chef, you will be responsible for leading our culinary team in providing high-quality food services to our students and staff.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement menus that meet the dietary needs and preferences of our students and staff
  • Manage and supervise a team of cooks and kitchen staff to ensure efficient and safe food preparation and service
  • Ensure that all food is prepared and presented to a high standard, meeting the expectations of our customers
  • Maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment, adhering to health and safety regulations and guidelines
  • Manage food costs and inventory, ensuring that we are operating within budget
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve customer satisfaction and loyalty
Requirements:
  • Proven experience as a Head Chef or in a similar role in the education sector
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
  • Excellent culinary skills, with a passion for creating high-quality food
  • Ability to work under pressure, managing multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, staff, and parents
