About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Sous Chef to join our restaurant leadership team at Wagamama. As a key member of our kitchen team, you will be responsible for supporting the Head Chef in leading our culinary operations and ensuring that every dish served meets our high standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and motivate a high-performing kitchen team to deliver exceptional food quality and service.
  • Collaborate with the Head Chef to develop and implement menu concepts, recipes, and cooking techniques.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety and health regulations, maintaining a clean and hygienic kitchen environment.
  • Manage kitchen inventory, labor costs, and financial performance, making data-driven decisions to optimize efficiency.
  • Develop and implement training programs to enhance team skills and knowledge, promoting a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive team culture, promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion in the workplace.

Requirements
  • A minimum of 2 years' experience as a Senior Sous Chef or Head Chef in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen environment.
  • Proven track record of leading a team to achieve exceptional food quality and service standards.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing team.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
