About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Sous Chef to join our restaurant leadership team at Wagamama. As a key member of our kitchen team, you will be responsible for supporting the Head Chef in leading our culinary operations and ensuring that every dish served meets our high standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and develop a high-performing kitchen team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with the Head Chef to drive menu development, food quality, and presentation.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety and health regulations, maintaining a spotless kitchen environment.
  • Manage kitchen labor costs, reacting to changing demands and optimizing team performance.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve kitchen efficiency, reducing waste and increasing productivity.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with team members, promoting a positive and inclusive work environment.

Requirements
  • A minimum of 2 years' experience as a Senior Sous Chef or Head Chef in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen environment.
  • Proven track record of leading a kitchen team, driving performance, and improving food quality.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with team members and stakeholders.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to think on your feet and adapt to changing situations.
