We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our kitchen team in Leicester, United Kingdom. As the second-in-command, you will assist the Head Chef in managing the kitchen and ensuring the highest standards of food quality and hygiene.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with the Head Chef to develop and implement menu plans and food preparation strategies.
  • Supervise and mentor junior kitchen staff to ensure smooth kitchen operations during service.
  • Ensure all dishes are prepared to the highest standard and delivered on time, maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment.
  • Contribute to inventory management and ordering supplies as needed, ensuring efficient kitchen operations.
  • Assume leadership responsibilities in the absence of the Head Chef, maintaining kitchen standards and ensuring seamless service.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience as a Sous Chef or in a similar role, with a strong track record of kitchen management and leadership.
  • Excellent knowledge of food safety regulations and kitchen hygiene practices.
  • Creativity and passion for cooking with fresh, high-quality ingredients, with a focus on menu development and innovation.
  • Ability to lead and inspire a team in a fast-paced kitchen environment, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required, with a commitment to providing exceptional customer service.
  • Food Hygiene Certificate (Level 2 or higher preferred), with a strong understanding of kitchen safety protocols.
