About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and ambitious Executive Chef to join our team at Chartwells - Schools. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for creating exceptional food experiences for our clients and customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Menu Development: Design and implement menus that meet the dietary needs and preferences of our clients and customers.
  • Culinary Operations: Oversee the preparation and presentation of food, ensuring high-quality standards are met at all times.
  • Team Management: Lead and motivate a team of chefs and kitchen staff to achieve exceptional results.
  • Food Safety and Hygiene: Ensure that all food safety and hygiene standards are met, and that the kitchen is maintained in a clean and safe environment.
  • Inventory Management: Manage food inventory, including ordering and stock control, to minimize waste and optimize resources.
  • Financial Management: Manage budgets and financial resources to achieve financial targets and optimize profitability.
Requirements
  • Qualifications: Hold a City & Guilds 706/1 & 2 or NVQ equivalent.
  • Experience: Have experience in a similar Executive Chef role, preferably in the education sector.
  • Skills: Possess excellent culinary skills, leadership abilities, and strong communication skills.
  • Personal Qualities: Be a motivated and enthusiastic individual, with a passion for food and a commitment to excellence.
