Job Summary:

Matchtech is seeking a dedicated Safety Specialist to join their dynamic team. This position offers the flexibility of mostly remote work, with occasional site visits required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert guidance on weapons safety management.
  • Lead on the safety aspects of the programme and be responsible for the delivery and maintenance of safety artefacts.
  • Evolve and advise the safety programme to de-risk delivery and capitalise on opportunities.
  • Work with assigned delivery teams to produce safety and environmental artefacts to time and quality requirements.
  • Advise the team to ensure the programme will deliver artefacts to demonstrate that policy, legislation and defence regulation have been met and that assets are demonstrably safe.
  • Represent the team at required safety engagements, including regulatory interface, and have the ability to brief up and down.
  • Be responsible for the day-to-day activity, delivering against agreed activity and tasks.

Requirements:

  • Experience in delivering OME safety and environmental artefacts.
  • Experience in compiling safety case evidence, authoring safety case reports and hazard logs.
  • Fault and Event Tree (FTA / ETA) expertise.
