Building Safety Consultant

We are seeking a highly skilled Building Safety Consultant to join our team at The Health and Safety Partnership. As a key member of our consultancy, you will be responsible for providing expert advice and guidance to clients on building safety matters.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in residential building safety, with experience in implementing and improving safety management systems. You will also have excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with clients in the residential sector, including owner/managers of Higher-Risk Buildings.

We are looking for someone who is keen to pursue a career in consulting and is passionate about building safety. You will have the opportunity to work with a broad range of clients across the built environment, and will be supported in gaining qualifications outlined below.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing expert advice and guidance to clients on building safety matters
  • Implementing and improving safety management systems
  • Working with clients in the residential sector, including owner/managers of Higher-Risk Buildings
  • Developing building safety documentation
  • Supporting clients in gaining qualifications outlined below

Requirements:

  • Experience of working with safety management systems
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge and experience in writing building safety cases and reports
  • Demonstrable experience of statutory compliance for building and fire safety
  • Qualifications in building safety management, such as the CIOB Diploma in Building Safety Management
