Role Overview

We are excited to announce a pivotal opportunity within the Zoetis Global Manufacturing & Supply Finance team for a proficient finance expert to collaborate closely with the Lincoln Operations unit. The ideal candidate will possess substantial experience in a manufacturing setting, with a strong focus on continuous improvement and cost accounting practices. This role will report directly to the Finance Lead for Lincoln Operations, aiding in a comprehensive array of financial responsibilities such as budgeting, forecasting, product cost analysis, and the monthly financial results reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a financial partner to operational colleagues and key stakeholders, ensuring alignment on all financial matters. Foster a close working relationship with the Finance Site Lead, Materials Management, and the Site Leadership Team. Collaborate effectively with the US GMS Finance Center of Excellence and Zoetis Financial Services.
  • Take a leading role in month-end closing activities, preparation of monthly financial reports, and the development and submission of quarterly forecasts.
  • Drive enhancements and reliability in standard costing on-site through detailed analysis of Bills of Materials (BOMs) and alignment with operational procedures.
  • Cultivate a deep understanding of site operations and financial outcomes, promoting continuous improvement in finance processes.
  • Assist the Finance Lead in the annual budget setting process, including analysis of volume, yield, and price fluctuations; lead the preparation of site operating expense budgets.
  • Oversee the reporting and analysis of Distressed Inventory on a monthly, quarterly, and yearly basis.
  • Ensure compliance with US GAAP and Zoetis accounting policies and procedures, including authorized signature limits. Coordinate internal and external audit activities.
  • Advocate for a robust financial controls environment, ensuring adherence to Sarbanes-Oxley controls.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, or Accounting.

Experience:

  • A minimum of 5 years of finance/accounting experience in a manufacturing context, including expertise in standard cost accounting.
  • Knowledge and background in process improvement.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a proven ability to engage with all organizational levels.
  • Strong organizational skills with the capacity to prioritize multiple and diverse projects.
  • Ability to provide direction to achieve high levels of financial performance and compliance.
  • Advanced proficiency in spreadsheet-based software applications.
  • Previous experience with SAP is preferred.
