Role Overview – Adult Care, Community Wellbeing, and Educational Finance
The Financial Services Division is responsible for delivering comprehensive accounting services to the Council, which includes both management and financial accounting functions, alongside VAT and treasury management services. Our accounting responsibilities encompass both revenue and capital finance, incorporating major processes such as account closures, systems management, grant oversight, and statutory reporting.
Candidate Profile:
The successful applicant will demonstrate a professional and methodical work ethic, possess a solid understanding of financial principles, and have relevant experience in public sector finance. Excellent communication and ICT skills, particularly in Excel, are essential, and candidates should hold a recognized accounting qualification (minimum AAT or equivalent).
