Sazerac UK is a leading spirits company that represents a diverse portfolio of award-winning brands. We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sales Business Development Manager to join our team.

Job Purpose

The successful candidate will be responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with independent retailers and cash & carry outlets. They will develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve or exceed sales targets, drive volume and distribution of the Sazerac portfolio, and provide exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Territory Management: Manage a designated territory and establish strong relationships with independent retail accounts, including convenience stores and specialty off-licensed stores.
  2. Sales Target Achievement: Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve or exceed sales targets, utilizing a consultative sales approach to understand customer needs and provide product recommendations.
  3. Product Promotion and Brand Awareness: Showcase the Sazerac portfolio to independent cash & carry's and retailers through engaging product presentations, tastings, and demonstrations, educating buyers and retailers about the unique selling points, quality, and benefits of our products.
  4. Relationship Building: Establish and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers, store owners, and staff in independent cash & carry's and retail accounts, providing exceptional customer service and acting as a trusted advisor.
  5. Market Insights and Feedback: Gather market intelligence, competitor information, and customer feedback to provide valuable insights to the sales and marketing teams, contributing to the development of sales strategies, product enhancements, and marketing initiatives.
  6. Sales Reporting and Administration: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of sales activities, customer interactions, and sales-related expenses using CRM tools or other designated systems, preparing regular sales reports, forecasts, and other administrative tasks as required.

Requirements

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Sales Business Development Manager with a proven track record of achieving or exceeding sales targets. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of the independent retail sector, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to build rapport and establish trust with independent retailers.
