  • Serve as the clinical lead for the Swale CYPMHS
  • Drive service innovation and implementation with an emphasis on research
  • Foster collaborations with essential organizations
  • Guarantee the provision of effective interventions grounded in contemporary research and guidelines
  • Ensure staff are equipped with the requisite skills and training
  • Advocate for mental health in the community through clinical practices
  • Conduct assessments and formulate care plans for young individuals referred to the service
  • Offer clinical leadership and specialized treatment
  • Maintain high standards of care in alignment with trust values and regulatory standards

About NELFT's Children & Young People's Mental Health Services (CYPMHS):

This service caters to individuals aged 0-18 in Kent, extending support up to age 25 for those with special educational needs, addressing a spectrum of psychological and emotional conditions through a structured care pathway.

Structure of CYPMHS:

The service comprises a Single Point of Access, Locality Teams, and a Crisis Team across various regions, each targeting distinct mental health challenges such as mood disorders and conduct disorders.

Locality Team Objectives:

The aim is to deliver early interventions through a collaborative framework with local authorities, providing a diverse array of services and resources to enhance emotional well-being and mental health.

Candidate Profile:

Qualifications (Essential):

  • Successful completion of relevant graduate training
  • Eligibility for registration with the appropriate professional body

Experience (Essential):

  • Experience working with patients with neurodevelopmental and learning disabilities
  • Delivering clinical interventions across various cultural contexts

Desirable Experience:

  • Clinical supervision of post-graduate qualified psychological practitioners
