Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled clinical psychologist, family therapist, or Child & Adolescent Psychotherapist to enhance our dynamic multi-disciplinary team within the Children & Young People's Mental Health Services (CYPMHS). This role is pivotal in delivering evidence-based psychological interventions aligned with the national CYP-IAPT programme, aimed at supporting children, young people, and their families facing emotional and mental health challenges.

Main Responsibilities

As a key member of our team, you will:

  • Implement evidence-based clinical interventions in accordance with the CY-IAPT framework.
  • Enhance the mental and emotional wellbeing of children and families through targeted clinical support.
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments in both school and community settings, providing early interventions for a range of emotional and psychological difficulties.
  • Develop and oversee care plans tailored to meet the complex needs of patients.
  • Provide clinical leadership and supervision to junior clinicians within the CYPMHS team.

Qualifications and Experience

To be considered for this role, candidates must possess:

  • A post-graduate qualification in psychological practice (clinical psychology, family therapy, or child and adolescent psychotherapy).
  • Extensive experience working with children and young people facing complex emotional and mental health challenges.
  • Eligibility for registration with the relevant professional body.
