Position Overview
We are currently seeking a qualified clinical psychologist, family therapist, or Child & Adolescent Psychotherapist to join our innovative multi-disciplinary team within the Children & Young People's Mental Health Services (CYPMHS). This role is based in Thanet and is driven by the principles of the national CYP-IAPT program, which emphasizes evidence-based psychological interventions for children and young people facing emotional and mental health challenges.
Key Responsibilities
As a Clinical Lead, your responsibilities will include:
- Implementing evidence-based clinical interventions aligned with the CY-IAPT framework.
- Enhancing the mental and emotional health of children, young people, and families through community-based clinical interventions.
- Conducting initial assessments in school and community settings, providing early interventions for various emotional and psychological difficulties.
- Developing comprehensive care plans to address the complex needs of patients.
- Offering clinical leadership and specialized treatment within your area of expertise, while supervising junior clinicians within the CYPMHS team.
Working Environment
At NELFT, we ensure that new employees receive a thorough orientation and integration into our Trust. Our induction process spans up to two weeks, covering mandatory training, systems training, and equipment allocation. New starters will also have opportunities to engage with senior management and participate in sessions focused on health, wellbeing, and organizational processes.
Qualifications and Experience
To be considered for this role, candidates must possess:
- A postgraduate qualification in psychological practice (clinical psychologist, family therapist, or child and adolescent psychotherapist).
- Extensive experience working with children and young people facing emotional and mental health challenges.
- Eligibility for registration with the relevant professional body (HCPC, BABCP, UKCP, AFT, ACP).
