Clinical Lead Therapist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Lead Therapist to join our team at NELFT NHS Foundation Trust. As a Clinical Lead Therapist, you will be responsible for providing clinical leadership and specialist treatment and assessment within your professional sphere of expertise in the service. You will be responsible for the extensive clinical supervision of clinicians and ensuring an excellent standard of care is provided in line with trust values and CQC.
About the TeamOur team is dedicated to providing high-quality care to children and young people with complex mental health needs. We are a multidisciplinary team that includes psychologists, family therapists, child and adolescent psychotherapists, and other professionals who work together to provide comprehensive care to our patients.
About the ServiceOur service provides a range of interventions and therapies to children and young people with complex mental health needs. We work closely with families, schools, and other agencies to provide a comprehensive care package that meets the individual needs of each patient.
Key Responsibilities- Provide clinical leadership and specialist treatment and assessment within your professional sphere of expertise in the service.
- Be responsible for the extensive clinical supervision of clinicians.
- Ensure an excellent standard of care is provided in line with trust values and CQC.
- Work closely with families, schools, and other agencies to provide a comprehensive care package that meets the individual needs of each patient.
To be successful in this role, you will need to have:
- Successful completion of a graduate training in psychological practice (psychologist, family therapist, child and adolescent psychotherapist).
- To be eligible for registration as a full member of the appropriate professional body (HCPC, BACP, UKCP, AFT, ACP).
- Extensive experience of working with moderate to profound learning disabilities, disturbed or challenging children/young people requiring skilled and complex interventions.
- Extensive experience of working therapeutically with parents/carers/families of children and young people with complex mental health problems.
