Job Overview

Babergh and Mid Suffolk District Councils are seeking a dedicated Programme Delivery Surveyor to enhance our Investment and Compliance Team. Role Responsibilities:

As a Programme Delivery Surveyor, you will report directly to the Programme Manager and will be responsible for executing capital investment and revenue initiatives, including sustainability projects, across Babergh and Mid Suffolk's housing and corporate assets.

  • Support the Programme Manager in developing capital and revenue investment plans, focusing on sustainability initiatives.
  • Oversee the operational execution of capital and revenue investment projects from start to finish, ensuring sustainability measures are integrated.
  • Manage the Resident Liaison and Project Officer to guarantee effective project management and serve as the primary contact for customers regarding scheduled works.
  • Supervise the Programme Auditor to ensure timely mobilization of all projects, adhering to contract and budget specifications.
  • Collaborate with consultants and contractors to deliver sustainability retrofit projects on schedule, within budget, and to high-quality standards, complying with PAS2035 and future quality benchmarks.
  • Prepare detailed work specifications and Auto-Cad drawings for contractor distribution, including necessary tender documentation.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Experience in delivering major works programs within social housing or a related field.
  • Proficient in budget management and implementing corrective actions for any discrepancies.
  • Ability to produce comprehensive schedules of work.
  • Experience managing building contracts from inception through to final account.
  • Expertise in executing sustainability retrofit programs.
  • Skilled in working with residents to provide exceptional service.
  • Experience managing multiple contracts and fostering long-term relationships, ideally within a contract management framework.
  • Assistance in the procurement and mobilization of contracts.
  • Experience leading a small, dedicated team to deliver a customer-focused service.

The successful candidate will have a solid understanding of contract law, health and safety regulations, and statutory, regulatory, and best practice standards.
