Babergh and Mid Suffolk District Councils are seeking a Programme Delivery Surveyor to enhance our Investment and Compliance Team. The ideal candidate will embody our values and dedication to positively impacting our communities and residents. This position is offered on a full-time, permanent basis, with a competitive salary ranging from £42,403 to £49,498 per annum (pro rata for part-time).
Role Responsibilities:
As a Programme Delivery Surveyor, you will report directly to the Programme Manager and be responsible for executing capital investment and revenue work programs, including sustainability initiatives, across Babergh and Mid Suffolk's housing and corporate assets.
Key Duties Include:
- Supporting the Programme Manager in developing capital and revenue investment plans, focusing on sustainability.
- Leading the execution of investment programs from initiation to completion, ensuring sustainability standards are met.
- Overseeing the Resident Liaison and Project Officer to ensure effective project management and customer engagement.
- Managing the Programme Auditor to guarantee timely mobilization and adherence to contractual and budgetary requirements.
- Collaborating with consultants and contractors to deliver sustainability retrofit projects on schedule and within budget, maintaining high-quality standards.
- Preparing detailed work specifications and Auto-Cad drawings for contractor distribution, including necessary tender documents.
Qualifications and Skills Required:
- Experience in delivering major works programs within social housing or a related field.
- Proficient in budget management and addressing financial discrepancies.
- Ability to produce comprehensive work schedules.
- Expertise in managing building contracts from inception to final account.
- Experience in executing sustainability retrofit programs.
- Skilled in engaging with residents to provide exceptional service.
- Capable of managing multiple contracts and fostering long-term relationships within a contract management framework.
- Experience in contract procurement and mobilization.
- Ability to lead a small, dedicated team focused on customer-centric service delivery.
Knowledge of contract law, health and safety regulations, and best practice standards is essential.
